Year 3 Light Assembly
Year 3 performed a wonderful assembly all about 'light'. How light is important and symbolic in the festivals of 'Diwali', 'Hanukkah' and 'Christmas'. They performed confidently and retold the story of Rama and Sita being guided home by the row of lights. How Jewish people believe it was a miracle from God that the oil from the lamp lasted for 8 days. And the light from the stars guiding people to where Jesus was born in the Christmas story.
The important message they shared was that light represented guidance, strength and hope. That we as individuals could also be light in each others lives too by caring, respecting and supporting each other.
