Year 2 have had a very interesting and packed term, our children have been learning lots of new things. In science, they have been studying living things and habitats, exploring the seven characteristics of living things. In history, they have been learning about the Great Fire of London, the children are learning to use primary sources to further investigate.
In RE they have been looking at creation, comparing the old testament creation story to the Hindu creation story. Maybe ask your child in year 2 what differences or similarities they have found. The most exciting and fascinating part of this term for year 2 has been studying the new art unit on hot
and cold colours where they were able to create silhouettes of trees on a frozen lake.
