On Thursday 23rd May, a team of year 5 and 6 boys and girls from Elmhurst took part in the Newham Dynamos Mixed Cricket Competition at Plashet Park. The competition was run by the Langdon Academy Sport Partnership and their motto is 'Excellence Through Competition'. Excellence is a certainly a quality the children demonstrated in spades with their well-deserved win.
There were eleven schools in total who entered, including Vicarage and Nelson from our trust. Both schools played really well and Nelson came fourth place. The event was supported by Capital Kids Cricket and Essex Cricket in the Community. We would like to thank them, as well as all of the teams, for helping to make the day so memorable.
