This half term, 5SF have been working with Miss Cowley on composing their own version of Prokofiev's piece, Lieutenant Kije. For their final performance, they were honoured to be joined by two musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra, Peteris Sokolovskis, on the cello and Jonathan Lipton on the French horn. Having the musicians there elevated year 5's music and inspired them to be even more creative with their composition. I was really proud of how the class worked, and of the thoughtful questions that they asked the professional musicians.
