On Thursday 30th June, years 5 and 6 went over to West Ham Park for their annual sports day. We began with a variety of field events which all the children competed in. Some stand out performers included Aadam B from 6V who won gold in shot put and speed bounce and bronze in chest push and Hamza from 5SF who won silvers in long jump, skipping and speed bounce. Midway through the day, there was some light entertainment as an overly friendly pug was on the loose and enjoyed chasing children around the park. In the afternoon, there were medals up for grabs in sprint races and relay races as well as a tug of war competition, which was won by 5F and 6S. Thankfully, the weather remained fine, the children were well behaved and we all had a great day.
