Art Matters Exhibition

We are delighted that artwork by children at Elmhurst was showcased at Art Matters, an exhibition exploring the power of art and creativity across the curriculum. Art Matters believes in the power of art and creativity across the curriculum and is a network teachers working together to help nurture children and young people's creativity.

At the end of each academic year, the Art Matters network curates an annual exhibition celebrating artwork by children and young people from East London. The exhibition regularly features artworks from over 4000 artworks from 50 schools and colleges and is the largest of its kind in the UK. Art Matters is supported by University of the Arts London and the University of East London.

We were delighted to take part once again this year, along with the other schools in our MAT, and give children's artwork the celebration it truly deserves. We have benefited from having such a dedicated Art Coordinator, Ms Worthington, and an immense amount of expertise from Andrew Mutter, specialist teacher and art consultant who has dedicated his career to improving art teaching across Newham and beyond.

We are really proud of our children who produce such vibrant and thoughtful artworks.
