n the morning we visited Wadham College, one of the 30 colleges which make up Oxford University. Wadham is a beautiful, old college (founded in 1610!). We found out all about university life, including a tour of the college by current students.
In the afternoon we visited the Oxford Story Museum and took part in a walk around Oxford, finding out about famous author’s who lived and wrote in Oxford. We saw the actual lamppost that gave C.S. Lewis the idea for Narnia. We found out that C.S. Lewis and JRR Tolkein were friends and used to share ideas about their stories together. We also saw Christchurch College, where Lewis Carroll worked and where Harry Potter was partly filmed.
