Y5 test their smoothie recipes.

Since children in Year 5 have been writing instructional texts, we thought we would put their recipes to the test and make some of their smoothies. Children had to use adverbials of time as well as imperative verbs and think about organisational features. We wanted Year 5 to think of a healthy snack for after school as part of a healthy diet. The smoothies were delicious and many children put some of the mixtures in bottles to take home!
