On Friday 21st September, eight children from 6V Literacy were given the opportunity to visit poet Neal Zetter at Stratford library. The day was a valuable opportunity for able writers to develop their creativity in writing.
After hearing lots of Neal’s wonderful poems and browsing the library, the children got to work creating some of their own poetry.
First, the pupils worked on poems about ‘Change’, ranging from pieces about global climate change to pieces about moving to secondary school! Later, they worked in groups to compose some performance poems about different types of food - candy floss, potatoes, marshmallows... yum!
