Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things.

We are living in times of rapid technological change, and as a school, we aim to reflect that in our teaching of technology, computing and ICT. We want to fully equip our pupils with the skills, knowledge and understanding to be digitally literate, technologically capable and fully aware of how to stay safe online. At the heart of our new Computing curriculum is the desire for our pupils to become good Digital Citizens - able to utilise hardware, software and technologies in order to leave a positive mark on society.
Safer Internet Day 2018
Safer Internet Day will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 6th February 2018 with the slogan “Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”.
At Elmhurst, our goal is to equip our pupils with a sense of collective responsibility. The day will be set aside for discussions on how the internet should be used safely and positively by looking at different types of online behaviour and through sharing personal online experiences. Pupils will be asked to make a pledge to do something positive online to encourage a safer internet for all.
We will be delivering an online safety workshop for parents on Tuesday 6th Feb at 2pm. The session will last for one hour and will provide practical advice and safety tips to help manage online safety issues, as well as discussions surrounding suitable online behaviour. Please do come along.
