Author Steven Butler Visits Elmhurst

This week we were lucky enough to have a visit from children's author Steven Butler. Steven has written some hilarious books including Dog Diaries, Wrong Pong, Nothing to See Here Hotel and Diary of Dennis the Menace.

He spoke to Years 3 and 4 about how his headteacher, who was the author Jeremy Strong, inspired him to love reading. He spoke to Years 5 and 6 about how his sister used  to terrorise him! Steven shared funny stories about his life as an author and the children were able to ask lots of questions.

This visit was able to happen thanks to Krithika in Year 3. She won the National Literacy Story Explorers Competition and this was the prize. We're really proud of Krithika for this fantastic achievement!
